Even as I typed the words for the headline of this post, it seemed crazy to think half of the summer is almost gone. So much has been happening, I’ll try to keep the updates brief. Before I get into the updates and forget to do this, I wanted to mentioned that, once again, I’m offering the entire 4-book set of the Restoration Series (co-authored with Gary Smalley) for only $25, plus $ shipping. These … READ MORE

Folks, I am a happy man today. It’s always a great day when you finish another book. Yesterday, I completed novel #16, Remembering Dresden. What made this day even better was that I finished the 2nd book in my new Jack Turner Suspense series. See, 2 years ago I wasn’t even “allowed” to write suspense novels. Only inspirational ones (like the books I’m mostly known for). I still love writing those, but I wanted to be … READ MORE

Can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I updated my blog. Been very busy. Not just with the holidays but with the release of my new novel, Rescuing Finley (Book 1 of the Forever Home series), and all that goes along with marketing and promoting it (I’m an indie now, have to do all the things my publisher used to do for me). Thought I’d take a few minutes to update you all on what’s been … READ MORE

My newest novel, Rescuing Finley, has just released and is available on Kindle for $3.99, or in print version. KU readers can read it for FREE (Nook Users – email me to get your copy for $3.99). Here are a few of the comments posted this week from the mostly-5-Star reviews: “I stayed up past my bedtime to finish this wonderful story of love and redemption. There are so many things I enjoyed about this book.” “This book has it … READ MORE

My 15th novel, When Night Comes, was my first indie novel and first true suspense novel. This week I’m celebrating the anniversary of its release with a special 99 CENT SALE. That’s right, you can pick up a Kindle copy for less than a dollar (Kindle Unlimited customers get it for Free). The sale runs through this Sunday (Nov 8th). And here’s some fun news – After just a few days on sale, it soared … READ MORE

This has been a very big week for writing awards, especially Christian fiction. On Sunday, AWSA announced the winners of the Golden Scroll Awards. Then on Monday at the big ICRS event in Orlando (which is still going on), the finalists for the ACFW Carol Awards were announced, as well as the winners for the 2015 Christy Awards. But these weren’t the only award announcements made this week. Family Fiction magazine announced the winners of … READ MORE

Last night I learned some wonderful news. My novel, What Follows After–borrowing a phrase from one of my favorite Christmas movies–won a “major award.” I had posted a few weeks ago that it had been named a finalist for the Selah Award in the historical fiction category. Last night during the awards banquet for the annual Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference, the winners were announced. What Follows After won for best historical fiction! This … READ MORE

Thought I should get the word out about a number of books specials happening in May. The first one has already begun. Big Discount for When Night Comes To celebrate a special milestone for my new suspense novel, When Night Comes, I’ve decided to offer the Kindle version for only $2.99 during the first week of May (which started yesterday). That’s 40% off the regular price. What is the milestone? During the month of April, sales of When … READ MORE
